REFLECTIONS

JK- We learned how to use a microphone. We love to hear our voices on line. We had fun using a digital camera. We sure have a lot more stuff than they did 100 years ago!

SK - We learned how you can scan a picture. We saw that you can get a lot of information and pictures off the Internet. We love to see our work on line! It was fun watching the 5/6 class typing our work on Dreamweaver and picking our pictures from the Internet.

Grade 1/2- The digital camera sure makes nice pictures! Dreamweaver is just like our Storybook weaver program except that it doesn't have pictures. I wish we could have added more pictures. If I had more time I would have added a lot more detail.

Grade 2/3 - It's sure neat how you can change the font, add bullets and make your font really big. I liked making the movie clip the best. I liked how we could change our classroom into a one room school house and dress up! We could have drawn pictures and scanned them in to go with our stories.

Grade 4/5 - It was fun seeing all those pictures! Using a scanner isn't hard at all. I'm glad we were able to do that! If there was more time we could have added more pictures. I liked downloading the backgrounds from the Internet. It made our page look cool!

Grade 5/6 - We learned how to set up a webpage in Dreamweaver. It was very similar to Claris HomePage. We were taught how to link each others pages and other HTML codes. It was great and lots of fun! We enjoyed downloading pictures and backgrounds for our webpage. We should have taken more time to add more information and covered more businesses. We could have made it into a tourist attraction webpage.

Grade 7/8 - It was a lot of work, but it was worth it! Interviewing people using a camera helps to remember what they were saying when you don't get it all written down. If we had more laptops we all could have entered the information more easily. We should have used a microphone when conducting the interviews. We could have used more open ended questions during the interviews. We could have used different angles and shots for the video clips. It was fun learning how to use a digital video camera and adding titles! Learning the HTML codes made it much easier to troubleshoot.
