WELCOME TO RIVERVIEW SCHOOL'S
2004 GRASSROOTS PROJECT
For the centennial year, students from our school worked very hard to compare Rainy River's early 1900's with the new millenium. Classes were divided into 8 component topics. Within these groups, students collaborated on and off line, gathering, organizing and sharing information as they planned and designed a web-based resource. While meeting the Ontario Curriculum Expectations, they used various word processing and graphic programs as well as scanners and digital cameras to complete their assignments. Results were shared within the school and within their community. As a final activity, the community was invited to view the final product. Hope you enjoy!
