Education-The Separate School Board
In Febuary, 1905 the Catholic church was moved to the north side of the tracks and used as a school and a church.
In 1908 a larger school was built north of the tracks and this burned down in 1928.
In 1929 a new school was built of cement blocks south of the tracks where now the Rainy River Sears building is. It got torn down in 1956 and school was held in the basement of the church. St. Micheal School was built in 1960 and closed in the 1970's. The Northern Affairs office and the Municipal offices and Council chambers were in the building after the school closed. It is now used for the Sears store, the Duty Free Store, and Gifts Galore. The Northern Affairs office is still in the building.
The offical history of the R.R community Librairy began in 1956 with the establishment of the first librairy.
In December 1956 the Libary was moved to a larger room in the community centre.
