CN Bridge

The CN bridge over the Rainy River between Rainy River, Ontario and Baudette, Minnesota was built in 1900-1901. It was built by Mckenzie, Mann & Company. While they were building the bridge, they set railway tracks across the ice on the river and moved equipment across to the Canadian side over the ice. One time they moved an engine across. The crew let the engine go across on it's own and jumped onto it after it made it safely over the ice.
