• Taught 8 grades.
• Older children would help younger ones with their work.
• There was great respect in the community for the teacher and school. The parents always gave great support to the teacher.
• Teacher carried water in from the well for the students to drink.
• Used outdoor toilets.
• Used a handbell.
• Children sat in single desks fastened to runners.
• It was an honor to be the person to put up and take down the flag ( Union Jack )
• Always sang God Save The Queen and read the Bible and said a prayer at the end of the day.
• Christmas concert was the highlight of the year. Everyone got a gift and a candy bag.
• All the children walked to school.
• All the children played games - baseball , tag , Hide and go seek, Anti-I-over, Prisoners Base, etc,.
