Student Evaluation:

We learned how to spell words.

We learned the sounds of all the letters

-the grade 7/8 's showed us how to make fancy and colourful letters

-we were taught how to record our sentences when we were reading using a microphone

-the older students helped us scan our drawings

 What we could have done better:

-we could have done our poster on KidPix and had better pictures

-we could have used fancy fonts if we had used the computer

Demonstrate awareness of some conventions of written materials;

Identify most of the letters of the alphabet and demonstrate understanding that letters represent sounds and that written words convey meaning;

Write simple messages using a combination of pictures, symbols, letters, phonetic spellings, and familiar words;

Print most of the letters of the alphabet, their own name and names of family members, and some short words;

Use a variety of media;

Use a variety of materials to communicate information;
