Rebecca Wood (Becky)
I was born in Rainy River where I went to school until gr
ade six. When my family moved to Winnipeg I vowed that some day I would come back. I spent a few years in Laclu, north of Kenora, and then in Fort Frances where I attended college in International Falls, taking training in Library Research, math and a number of English courses. After this I moved back to Winnipeg until Mike and I bought our place on the Little Grassy River in 1997. I have one son and three step-sons who are all grown with families of their own. My life’s joy is to be able to spend time with my grandchildren. Working in a school is the next best thing, and I am so happy to see those little faces when I come to work. I wear many hats at work, which means I am never bored with my job. I enjoy reading to the children in library class, I also work as a special education assistant and at the end of the day I do the secretarial work for the school.
My interests are gardening, canoeing, reading, and learning more about art, archaeology and other things that begin with the letter “a”. When I have more time I’d like to start on the other letters.
